Africa Scout Conference declares Madagascar the host for the next event in 2025

The 18th Africa Scout Conference voted today to award the Firaisan’ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara the right to host the 19th Africa Scout Conference and 10th Africa Scout Youth Forum in 2025. The next Conference in Madagascar will build on the decisions taken during 18th Africa Scout Conference to increase youth engagement and continue to innovate Africa Scout Region’s convening of Member Organizations.

The Africa Scout Conference is the governing body of the Africa Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. The Conference, which takes place every three years, provides an opportunity for Member Organizations to play an active role in shaping the standards, policies and shared goals of the Scout Movement in Africa. The Africa Scout Youth Forum happens in advance of the Conference, giving young people a platform to learn new skills and be involved in decision-making processes.

Firaisan’ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara will also host the Africa Scout Day celebrations in March 2025
