Africa Scout Day
Established in 1995 by the Organization of African Unity (now the African Union), Africa Scout Day is celebrated annually on March 13 across the continent. The main celebrations are hosted in one country. This special day unites Scouts, leaders, and partners to recognise Scouting’s achievements, reflect on challenges, and renew commitments to creating positive social impact. 20th Africa Scout Conference & 11th Africa Scout Youth Forum, 2028
Africa Scout Conference is the governing body of the Africa Scout Region. Taking place every three years, the Conference enables Member Organizations to play an active role in shaping the standards, policies and shared goals of the Scout Movement worldwide.
The Africa Region Scout Youth Forum is a triennial event that empowers young people to develop leadership skills, voice their perspectives, and actively participate in Scouting’s decision-making processes. Held alongside the Africa Scout Conference, this platform enables youth delegates to discuss critical issues, formulate recommendations, and influence Conference resolutions that shape the Movement’s future direction.

10th Africa Scout Jamboree, 2029
The Africa Scout Jamboree takes place every four years in a different country. It is the largest regular event organised by WOSM, usually gathering up to 2000 people from all over the continent. It is above all an educational event to promote peace and understanding. The Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities to develop new skills, learn about different cultures, and build friendships through unique camping experience. Participants must be between the ages of 14 and 17 at the time of the event. Individuals who are 18 years or older can take part as International Service Team members.

3rd Africa Scout Rover Moot, 2030
The Africa Scout Moot takes place every four years in a different country. It is an event for senior sections (traditionally called Rovers) and other young adult members. Moots provide an opportunity for young adults in Scouting to meet together and take part in activities that enable them to become active global citizens. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 at the time of the event. Individuals who are 26 years or older can take part as International Service Team members.
